There are four types of content pages:
Here is how you would identify and update each type of page content.
You can view the list of existing pages under the PAGES menu. When you hover over a page name a set of links will show up. If a page was built with the PAGE DESIGNER tool it will have a tiny GREEN dot next to the PAGE DESIGNER link.
When you click on the PAGE DESIGNER link you will be taken a full screen editing experiencing where you can create rows and columns, drag-and-drop modules and really go to town on your page designs.
If you click the EDIT link instead, you will be taken to a screen with a message indicating that the PAGE DESIGNER is active for that page.
Most of the existing pages use the BLOCK EDITOR. The BLOCK EDITOR is great for less complex pages and includes “blocks” for the most commonly used items such as buttons and images.
To edit an existing page that uses the block editor, just hover over the title in the page list and click the EDIT link. If you happen to click the EDIT link on a page that uses the PAGE DESIGNER you will see a message indicating that the PAGE DESIGNER is active for that page.
Posts are articles that can be viewed by the public or that can be restricted to one or more membership levels. Posts are very flexible content holders – they can be articles, tutorials and more. In all cases they use the BLOCK EDITOR.
To edit an existing post:
To edit the header or footer area of the site, go to the PAGE DESIGNER menu option and select the first sub-menu option – HEADER, FOOT & SYSTEM TEMPLATES.
Hover over the HEADER or FOOTER items in the list and click the PAGE DESIGNER link.
